I have developed a Firefox add-on that, once set up correctly, can bookmark the current site to your delicious.com account with 1 click.
Download it here (right-click, Save Link As):
bottylicious.xpi 0.4 30kB
Licensing: this is distributed under the Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 Unported license. For as far as I know, I'm in my right to do this. If Mozilla policy says different, they're right. If you like to see the source, just unzip the xpi.
This is an alpha version, I'm giving out no guarantees, and it might destroy your entire Firefox installation. Just so you know ;)
Please note:
version 0.4 only supports old style delicious accounts. The new yahoo accounts are not yet supported, but I'm working on it.
Installation:
- Just drag-and-drop the xpi into Firefox. Configure Bottylicious through Tools > Add-ons > Bottylicious > Preferences
- You must change the username and password, or it won't be able to post to your delicous account. Please note that your password will be stored as plain text on your system.
- The page title will be used as the description for the bookmark.
- By default, all bookmarks will be stored under the tag bottylicious, but you can change that.
- You can also choose to automatically replace a bookmark if a bookmark with this url already exists (not default).
- You can also choose to make all links shared with Bottylicious private (not default).
