I've upgraded dop to Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail.
First thing I noticed is the new file browser. F3 (to split into two windows) doesn't work. I don't like it.
Update: yep, it's gone.
Update:
more things that are now broken:
-
After 10 minutes the screens lock, but after moving the mouse, only one monitor awakes and it's not the one with the login prompt on it. Just typing my password and hitting enter doesn't work, I had to reboot to continue working.
Resuming after manually locking with ctrl+alt+L is working.
As a temporary fix I wanted to turn of monitor sleeping. This is in the menu under Settings > Brightness & Lock > Turn screen off when inactive for 10 minutes.
I decided instead to just set "Lock" to "off" for now, so it will turn the monitors off, but not lock the desktop. This seems to work fine. -
Chrome is not starting anymore with this error:
error while loading shared libraries: libudev.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The solution can be found in this post. - In Ubuntu 13.04, the default amount of workspaces is set to 1. To restore it, see this post
