This used to be my work laptop, Dell 800, pretty heavy specs. Got a new one from work (Dell 820, even heavier specs!!). I got the chance to buy it for a *special price*. I gave it to my girlfriend, because C3PO is really getting stale by now...
But this time she'll really have to get used to not having Windows, becaused I've prepped it with Ubuntu 6.06.
It supports some really neat stuff out of the box, such as the maximum resolution for the screen (1920x1200), wifi, native languages (dutch, in our case) and of course all kinds of nice applications, that would definitely be quite expensive on the Windows platform.
